The Legacy Continues

Dru and Jace had the babies…I guess twins really do run in the family. I have the triplets and quad hack (from More Awesome Than You by Two Jeffs). This gives me the option to pick how many babies, a random amount of babies, or just to go with original that were to be born. I picked the original, assuming of course that I would get 1 baby. I had Dru and Keely as twins because I chose that I wanted twins…With Keely and Danus’ babies, there were natural twins and then again with Dru and Jace. And as expected, as babies, they are the most beautiful little things in the world but when they become toddlers, you really start seeing how they are going to look. Jace and Dru and fraternal twin boys named Maxwell and Matthew (named by my cousin who witnessed the pixelated birth).

Maxwell got the same skintone has his cousin Blake Seavey but with light blue eyes from Grandpa Brian Seavey. Matthew looks like a clone of his mother but with his father’s Maxis eyes…why are these Maxis eyes actually being handed down as genetics? I don’t get it! I thought I had eliminated all traces of them when I downloaded default eyes as replacements and geneticised every single eye that gets downloaded into my game so there are plenty of options for eye color.

I find it funny how attached Maxwell is to Grandpa Brian already. First thought on his mind when he was born was grandpa!

I think he’s already thinking about the family line and I also think that just because of that, Maxwell will become the heir. Grandpa Brian is constantly hovering around Maxwell, more so than Matthew. Maybe he feels a certain kinship with him or something of the sort but I do think it’s rather cute.

Maxwell got his dad’s nose…the hooked nose that I really don’t like. I hope it won’t end up being a dominant feature but seeing the schnoze on his father, it probably will be. But Maxwell does have Grandpa Brian’s jaw line which I am really happy about because it’s a pretty nice looking one at that. Someone want to explain to me how Matthew ended up as a blonde? I have absolutely no clue. But he does have his mom’s chubby cheeks that apparently do not go away as they get older. So let’s really see if Dru’s genetics look better on a guy now. As a toddler though, he’s so cute I want to pinch his cheeks.

And on to the other members of this household: Everyone’s just working and bringing in the cash, doing a few additions and the likes. The army exercise thingy is now in a partially finished basement, which is looking quite nice so far. Black lacquered walls and floors tiles with glass doors. If you go beyond that, there’s going to be another room, maybe a rec room that already contains a television, game system and stereo. I also placed a full bathroom so that running all the way up to the other washrooms when the green smoke starts to stink, isn’t necessary. I didn’t take any pictures of it yet but I will in the next update.

Stevie got 2 promotions without being qualified for any of them which was quite…nice. Since before the twins (Dru and Keely) went off to Truth U, Stevie was been stuck at the 8th level of police career. She had a lot of skilling to do but she never really worked to get that skilling done. I didn’t really care because it wasn’t her LTW, it was just something to do until I thought it was an appropriate time to retire. She got 2 chance cards that both gave her an opportunity to get promoted, despite that she was far short of the requirements and she didn’t have the minimum amount of required friends…how lovely! I think I’m gonna have both Stevie and Brian retire, so that they can be with the twins (Maxwell and Matthew) and teach them the necessary skills instead of having the nanny, although the one they have now is quite good. She even goes around fixing the beds and not wasting as much food as some of the other nannies I’ve seen.

It’s early Monday morning (just after 12 AM) and time to move onto the next household. Bye Legacy House and Hello Angelica Umgabi! It’s now time to introduce you to Nolan the shop keeper who apparently has a thing for you and would really like to get to know you better. Please don’t mess it up.

The Ross, Watson, Goodman and Legacy Household

The Ross family was uneventful but considering it was only 2 days until their week was over, it was expected. Nicole got promoted. Teneesha is ready for Truth U and Derek is his cute self, as per usual

Ofelia Watson…first time I’ve played her household. She started out promising and she ended up disappointed by the end of the 2nd day. She got into her science track, late Monday morning so she didn’t have work that day and only had $28 to her name. She talked to Nicole Ross, her only friend in Truth as of yet, who said she would see what she could do about helping Ofelia out financially, especially considering that Ofelia only had a single bed, lawn chair, stack of books, a toilet and shower…no food, no fridge, no nothing! Ofelia was eagerly looking forward to her first day at work as a Test Subject. They gave her some stupid puzzle where she had to decide if she wanted the blue liquorice or red liquorice. Ofelia went with her first instinct and took the red one. An announcement on the sound system told her, “That is all, we will no longer be needing your services.” Ofelia thought that meant she would go on to test something else…unfortunately, Ofelia soon discovered, it meant she was unemployed.

However, to her surprise when she looked in her bank account, trying to figure out how she was going to make ends meet, she found a mysterious deposit of $50,000. Ofelia was quite shocked but was told that the money was supposed to have been deposited in her account. Ofelia decided to no longer question how she got the money and set about buying some essentials, like a car, a small fridge and counter and an easel. She went to Hernandez’s Corner Store and pick up a few of those Pink Puffer Snapdragons that she had read about and was quite surprised to find them available so locally. She set up a few of them in her room and decided she was going to start building robots instead of going out and working like the common man (or woman). Deciding as well that gardening and cleaning the house, would be a waste of her skills and time, she hired a maid that was sent to her at Nicole’s advice and a gardener to take care of the overgrown hedges in her yard. Ofelia also decided she was going to have to learn everything if she wanted to be able to build one of those Servos she read about in the SimRobotics Scientific Journal. She set about learning everything about the mechanics and then decided that she wanted her servos and other robots, to have a distinctive “Ofelia Watson” look and spent some time working on her creativity. After that, Ofelia decided that anyone who wants a decent Servo, would like one that could cook as well, so she set out to study everything there is to know about cooking.

By the end of her week, Ofelia realized that she really doesn’t find the new male maid attractive, but he does keep the house quite clean, so that was enough for her. The gardener doesn’t seem too bad and her house wasn’t overgrown with ivy, so the gardener stays as well. Ofelia maxed her creativity and mechanical skills, but didn’t do too well socially.

Goodman Household aka: Felicia Goodman, Kenisa Sorority, graduated.

Felicia didn’t realize how broke she would be once she bought her home and how sparse the house would be. Since money was so tight, she decided to get a loan for $10,000 to spruce up her house. She got herself a job as an artist, and slowly started getting money coming into the house, only to have it put right back to her loan. But Felicia couldn’t really complain. She had basics, a fridge and pizza maker, computer (Monique hacked one, of course), her double bed and a decent bathroom. Not too long after she moved in, she managed to find the time to invite Breanna Nott, now Breanna Ross over to see the new house, bare as it was. Felicia was quite surprised to see Breanna’s reaction.

Turns out, Breanna just realized that she’s pregnant and possibly, she not disgusted by the house (Felicia hadn’t manage to decipher that part yet). Felicia clapped her on the back, told her congratulations and sent her back home before she threw up all over the lawn. Later that evening, feeling lonely, Felicia decided to call this guy named Amin Carson that she remembered from Truth U. He was kind of weird but he made her laugh so she gave him a call. Please keep this picture of him in mind:

Let’s just say, he’s not as creepy as he seems. He was the Notorious Truth U Streaker and apparently, he feels very…liberal about the use of clothing. Felicia and Amin hit it off (with 2 lighting bolts of attraction) and maybe she moved to fast or something but my Friday, she was helping him unpack boxes in her house. He came with $19,000 so that was beneficial and he loved her to distraction. By Sunday, they were married, and he still didn’t like wearing clothes around the house and Felicia has already given up on trying to change him.

What was also interesting at the wedding was who was seen by the Truth Community Chapel. As Felicia and Amin were walking up to the front doors of the church, they happened to spy a couple in deep “conversation”. At first it appeared to be Damien and Breanna Ross, however, on closer inspection Felicia realized it wasn’t Breanna, but a woman that did look a lot like her. Felicia wasn’t sure what to think but as far as she was concerned, either Felicia had a twin sister that she didn’t know about and Damien found for her or Damien was having an affair with a woman who looks a lot like his wife which would be not only moralistically wrong, but kind of creepy.

Legacy Household

The family continued to go on as before…Stevie wanted more grandchildren and was strongly hinting towards Drucilla to hurry and get married so she could have her legitimate grandchildren. Brian rolled his eyes and decided to wait until his daughter was ready. Drucilla was more than ready to become Mrs. Jace Ajjanagadde however, with their work schedule, it was very difficult to co-ordinate the schedules to have it. Finally Drucilla had enough and woke everyone up early, 6AM early and told them to go down to the conservatory. There, she and Jace finally got to exchange their vows a couple of hours before his carpool arrived. They made quick trip upstairs…and she’s now pregnant. So the next generation of Vane/Seavey/Ajjanagadde family will be there any day now…Please let the genetics be decent!

The Legacy House is partly ready for display

Please keep in mind this house is no where near done but it's still coming along beautifully and I only have a few shots of it:

The usual exterior shot (edit-old pic put in the right one):

Outside view of the balcony:

From the inside, looking out to the balcony from the second floor:

The bedrooms for the twins (Dru & Keely, respectively):

Everything else will be updated once the twins graduate from Truth University...oh yeah, forgot to tell you they left for University, along with Jace and boy did they do a switch-a-roo in personality. Dru has become ever so studious, picking a major in Literature (not even certain if I spelt that correctly). And now that she and Jace are in the same dorm, they don't seem to spend as much time doing PDA activities as they used to.

Keely on the other hand caught up with some of the guys that she had been talking to online that went to Truth University. She was quite please when she saw them face to face. They were much better looking than what she had imagined:

Davnus decided to quickly make his move and asked Keely out as soon as he got back to his dorm. According to Keely, it was a Dream Date. Davnus went back to his dorm with a big grin on his face and talked his sister, Trisha's ear off. Trisha smiled and nodded but decided to prepare herself for meeting the 'girlfriend'.

Keely also managed to achieve her LTW before Junior year and has now become a Family sim who's new LTW is to become Captain Hero. Well technically, Truth has no police officers so this can be a step in the right direction.

Growing Old Together

Brian has finally become an elder, and what a happy elder he is. He transitioned in Platinum and on his next shift at work, he became the General he always wanted to be. Both he and Stevie are spending some much needed quality time together (especially if she wants to reach her LTW of 50 Dream Dates before her passing. I think once they have enough money to be comfortable, they will both be retiring. Another nice bonus, Brian brought home $55,000 for saving his country. It went immediately to the house which is starting to look much better. The front porch actually exists WITH a Door but there are no pictures yet to show proof of this "miracle". But here are Stevie and Brian after his transition:

I might as well also show a picture of what Brian used to look like (I finally remembered to take a decent picture just before he transitioned:
Pretty good looking considering he's a townie and not a custom made one either.

Drucilla's mind is on settling down with her one and only Jace A- (just look in one of the posts for his last name because it is way too hard and complicated to remember). He's in love...she's in love...they're in love...and it makes everyone else nauteous. But I think I've finally decided that she'll be the heir to the Legacy but Keely will move in with her right after graduation from Truth (and then move out when she's ready).

Keely decided to commemorate her parents being together so long by painting them a lovely portrait. Please remember, she gave up her valuable skilling time to do this. She's trying to Max all her skills before Junior Year at Truth University, so she can get her Perma-Plat status early and then change her Aspiration to something else.

Also wanted to show off a cute icon I made (more like cropped and added text):

Love is in the Air (at least in Truth)

Enter Jace Ajjanagadde. The paperboy that Drucilla has been talking to online. She never made the connection that the boy who delievers the newspaper and the Jace she talks to online were one in the same. And she really likes him. She even got dressed up (mostly took off that ridiculous winter hat, let her hair down and changed her make-up a bit) and invited him over. They had a wonderful time....playing Chess [eyes rolling right now] So romantic aren't they? They even managed to have 2 lightening bolts of attraction (like her parents)
Dru was kind of embarassed though due to her parents making-out like they were teenagers. But she managed to distract Jace by asking him on a date. He shyly said yes and then revealed he was a knowledge sim with great hopes of going off to Truth University as well. Suddenly Dru was thinking maybe she should be looking into University as well.

Keely already had 2 scholarships (Cooking and Creativity) under her belt and was working on her 3 (Logic). Keely decided to put off loking for a boyfriend until her University plans were well taken care of. She was happy she didn't have flighty, romantic notions flying around in her head yet unlike her sister Dru.

Stevie's having fun in her elderhood. She transitioned in Platinum but still has a while to go before she becomes perma-plat so many, many, many more spectacular dates for her.
Brian is on his way to elderhood. He only has 2 more days before he transitions but soon he'll also be a General and be perma-plat as well.

Beauty was surely dealt sparingly

I love my Legacy family, I really do but what the heck happened to the genetics being passed down? I'm only on the 2nd generation and I'm really going to have pray that by the 10th generation, they'll look somewhat passable. Stevie and Brian's twins are now teens have a look at what I mean. The first one is Drucilla...and the 2nd is Keely-Ann.

Keely's would be perfectly if her chin did not rival Jay Leno. It may pass okay on a guy but on a girl, it really doesn't look right. Dru's problem seems to be so extensive that I'm almost tempted to giver her reconstructive surgery but I really don't want to do that. I think I may try getting her a husband with a slim face and hope for best. It's hard trying to make her look normal. The hair goes through her cheeks and any sort of color that you place on her lips makes them look even bigger. Le sigh...I'll just have to see how their genetics play in the future.

On the other hand, they are great as kids. They learned everything they needed to as toddlers and managed to get 6 skill points by the time they became children. Keely maxed her creative skills and the money she's raking in her paintings rivals her dad. She became a knowledge sim when she became a teen with the LTW to max all skills...this should be easy! Drucilla on the other hand is a social butterfly who loves to cook and clean. I guess it was a good thing when she became a family sim as a teen. Her LTW is to graduate 3 kids from University. If she becomes the heir (the thought is still up in the air), I'm really hoping she has a boy because maybe her features will look much better on a boy.

Stevie became an elder. She constantly complains about backpain, has the bladder the size of a pea and sleeps at the oddest times. She keeps burning pancakes too. The firefighter seems to make regular visits to the house. She still working but because she doesn't really have a LTW that deals with a career, I may make her retire as soon as Brian gets his LTW. I think he has 2 more levels to go and then he should die as a happy man!

The house is growing beautifully and yes it still looks rough but I'm seeing more of what I want in it:

It's probably going to end up looking very modern (mostly due to the fact that I suck at making roofs that look normal. I just started building the 2nd floor which is currently exposed to the elements. The steps leading to the front door finally exist! Too bad the front door still is non-exitant but everyone goes through the garage so for now it's all good. Finally got a new car for the family so Stevie can now drive to work as well as Brian. The twins still have to use public trasportation. The kitchen has been moved and is nice and once I get this full screen picture taking down, along with better lighting, I will start showing more pictures of the interiors. But it will take time (although this week it seemed I had nothing but time but that's another issue).
So on a final note for the nite, the family grows, the house grows, money is coming in well and I'm still debating whether or not to send the teens to University. And the neighbourhood is looking fuller all the time. Can't wait to see how Truth will be in a month.

The Legacy and Uncle Hayden

I decided to start a Legacy Family in Truth. Made a somewhat attractive (but not too distinctive) sim named Stevie Vane (pictured below):
Yes, Stevie is a girl. I set her up in a huge 5x5 lot, and set her to live on $4,800 and this is what she had by the end of the first day:
It wasn't much but it was all hers. The neighbourhood seemed pretty decent (if not a bit scanty) but that didn't bother her much...less of a chance of crime or so she thought. She got robbed 4 days after moving into her new place. Stevie got herself a good job as a security guard and has already managed to get herself promoted to Detective (quite good on $4,800). Stevie was starting to feel lonley and the only men who seemed to come by her house was a Hayden Bruty (unfortunetly for Stevie, there was a wedding ring on his finger and the wallet full of baby pictures of Meshell) and this creepy old man named Garret Cho..

Stevie decided she needed some professional help and called this gypsy matchmaker from the phone book. It was quite a quick and painless experience: answer a question, pay a good chunk of money and hope your frog prince is the one. Stevie was skeptical but decided to give this...Brian Seaver guy a chance. And boy was Stevie glad she did. Their first date was a lot of fun. Stevie was quite surprised to find a single rose sitting on her make-shift doorstep the next morning. As much as Stevie wanted to believe that her dream man had come true, she decided to have Brian checked out by Hayden (and because Garret still freaked her out and she wasn't going to encourage and further contact with him). Hayden came back and told Stevie that Brian was a good guy. He had gone to Truth University with Lisa and Kendra and was actually one of their dorm-mates until they started Kenisa Sorority.

The dating process was going quite well, and soon Stevie had moved Brian in and apparently he was one heck of a saver. He brought in $15,000. Stevie wanted to start redecorating immediately but Brian gave her a small peck on the cheek and said it was for their real house. Stevie frowned but trusted him more with the money than herself. Brian became a recruit. At first it was because the money was good but as he worked more and started to get promoted, he really wanted to eventually because the General. Not too long after, they had saved up enough money to really start building their place. They still didn't start to immediately build the house. Stevie soon found herself engaged to Brian and pregnant however with the over working and the danger of her job, Stevie lost the baby and was distraught for quite sometime. Brian and Stevie eventually married and almost immediately, she became pregnant again. Stevie took to meditating to help keep her body calm and Brian, more worried about his wife than himself, took over the house completely and began to work on their new home. By the time the twins (yes the twins) were born, the house still wasn't finished but the start was definetly there:
Stevie gave birth to fraternal twin girls, named Drucilla and Keely-Ann. And guess who became their god-father? You guessed it! Hayden. Man he loves family!
